The diner-booth jukebox in Do You Wanna Dance had such complex distorted reflections of the Lowell Fulsom poster and the items in the lid of the portable record player that I decided a study was needed to help me understand just what was going on. This piece seems very realistic, yet it is mainly composed of abstract designs on a very shiny metal surface.
I spent many hours in the 1950's, sitting in booths of The Eagle Café on the old Waco Highway in Hillsboro, Texas - listening to music, drinking coke floats, giggling with my girlfriends, and flirting outrageously with the "cute" guys.
